When I was leaving the store, I saw a homeless guy with his dog asking for change. I didn't want to give him any change but I was going to give half of the dog food I just bought. The guy looked at the brand and refused, saying that his dog gets diarrhea from that food. I was offended. But when my dog tried it, he vomited very soon. So the guy was right.
If he's getting too much food, if you feed him every time he asks for food you may have obesity problem with him. You see it every time: "Oh, I love him so much, how can I say no to that face?"
Yes, It's hard, I know. But otherwise your dog is going to look like a hairy piggy. It's your choice.
For example this dog is obviously getting too much. Probably he suppose to eat some and leave some for later (ye, right!).

Another matter I want to discuss is destructiveness (Click here to get some help). If your dog grew up, if he is not a puppy any more, he still needs to spend his energy. He needs to play, some breeds more than others. So if your dog keeps eating your shoos thank him for his great taste (because I know he's choosing the best onces) and bring him outside. If he destroys things around the house it's because he is bored. If you keep ignoring his behavior you will regret it when he eats something expensive. Don't get things evaluate till that point. Learn how to educate your dog. Sooner or later you will have to do it anyway, if you want him to stay in your house.
This guy shows some amazing tricks.

"Dog Obedience Training"

If you ever had a problem with your dog and wasn't sure what to do you may regret the decision you made when you adopted your dog.
